Considering separation
I’m not sure whether to leave, or what to do first.
Decide with your eyes open. Understand your position, what to gather and how to have the first conversation.
Candid strategy for your divorce, and your life after it.
You can feel it going wrong, and you don’t know what to do first. I’ve been there. I’ll help you see the whole picture, make the right moves, protect what matters, and get your life back.
Freya, Goddess of Love and War. Because divorce is both.
I work with men and women, wherever you are in the process.
I’m not sure whether to leave, or what to do first.

I’ve decided. I need to get organised.
Get the financial picture straight, choose the right advisers, and avoid the costly early mistakes.
Lawyers, money, children and pressure.
Perspective and a plan: prepare for meetings, weigh offers and decide which battles are worth it.
The paperwork is ending. Now what?
Rebuild your confidence, routines and independence; deal with an order that isn’t being honoured; and, when you’re ready, move on and start dating again.
A structured path, built from my own divorce and my professional training. Not everyone starts at the beginning; we start where you are.
Step back from fear, anger and reaction so you can think clearly. Let go of what’s hurting you, then decide.
Set your boundaries, get the facts, and build your strategy. Know which battles matter, and win them with a clear head.
Build the right team around you. The wrong lawyer is an expensive mistake; the right adviser, at the right moment, changes everything.
Make peace with yourself, and learn to love the person you are now. Stand on your own two feet, and work out who you are and what you want next.
The Freya Method helps you rebuild your confidence, make the absolute best of yourself, and build the life you want from here.
I don’t give legal, financial or tax advice, and I don’t provide therapy. I don’t negotiate with, or contact, the other side on your behalf; that’s your solicitor’s job. Mine is to make sure you walk in prepared.
When you need one of those professionals, I’ll help you find the right one and work with them well.
A known price for a known hour. No surprises, and nothing to sign until you want more. It starts with a free 20-minute call to see whether I’m the right person.
After a decade with my ex-husband, I decided to leave. We had two young daughters. I’d built a career in hedge funds, managing the London office for two major funds, across HR and compliance, and assisting investor relations. When our first daughter was born, we decided together that I’d step away from my career to be at home with the children, and when our second was born we moved to the Middle East. By the time I left, I had no income of my own and not even a credit card in my name.
I prepared for a year before I filed. Then came eighteen months of proceedings, and solicitors’ letters so frightening that some days I couldn’t get out of bed. Nobody told me which letters mattered and which were noise. Nobody told me that no one wins; you reach an agreement you can both live with, and the anger only makes it cost more. We settled both cases just before final hearing, having spent a million pounds between us in legal fees. Three months later, we were on holiday together in the Maldives with our two children. Imagine that, after everything we’d put each other through.
Today I have a home that’s mine, a career I built myself, two happy children, and an ex-husband I can still sit across a table from. My daughters aren’t growing up between two parents at war, and they have a mother who’s good on her own. I have peace. I didn’t expect that to be the best part.
I built The Freya Method from what I wish I’d had: one person who knew the whole picture, told me the truth, and helped me see what needed my attention and what didn’t. Mine was a cross-cultural marriage and a cross-jurisdiction divorce, so I understand the extra layer when two countries, two cultures or two legal systems are involved. I trained and qualified as an accredited divorce coach, and I work with men and women, online worldwide and in person in London. I’m also an investor in legal technology built for family law firms.
I named it after Freya, the Goddess of Love and War, because divorce is both.

My clients reach their solicitor organised, clear about their priorities and ready with the right questions. That makes your advice faster to give and easier to act on.
It works the other way too. I regularly have clients looking for the right solicitor, barrister or adviser, and I’d rather send them to people I know.
Family solicitors, barristers, mediators, therapists and financial advisers: I welcome a conversation.
No. Your solicitor advises you on the law. I help you prepare for those conversations, make sense of them, and decide what to do next, and I’ll always tell you when something needs your solicitor’s input.
Yes. The Freya Method is for anyone going through separation or divorce.
Yes. What you tell me stays between us.
Yes. Understanding the financial picture, and preparing to get the information you’re entitled to, is central to my work. If you feel unsafe, please also see the support numbers at the foot of this page.
One hour is £150, paid when you book. No hourly meter running in the background. If you want me alongside you for the whole process, Private Advisory is £3,000 a month for a minimum of three months, by application.
Either. I see clients in person in London and work by video with clients anywhere in the world.
Far more than paperwork: where and when to file, what to gather, how to protect your privacy, and who to have around you. Wherever you are in the process, that’s where we begin.
Yes. I work by video wherever you are, and my own divorce crossed two countries and two cultures. Where and when to file is often the first strategic question, and we’ll make sure you ask it before anyone else answers it for you.
Twenty minutes, confidential, no obligation. If you’re facing a divorce or a breakup and you can’t see a way through, this is where to start. Tell me what’s happening and I’ll explain how I can help you make sense of it, build a strategy, and find your way through to the other side.
